Sorry mate I think you missed a bit. What I meant was, if you are having trouble getting the app to work then make sure you do not delete the support forum until you have added and verified the operation of the Steelers one. Then you can delete the support forum.

I had trouble getting the Steelers forum to load so I looked on the Touch support forum and found this advice from the developers of the app.

If it is working for you then you need do nothing mate.

Brilliant - thanks Mark. Being "proper Yorkshire" I downloaded the free version and it seems to be working fine - Probably self destructs after a predetermined lenght of time :wink

I've not tried it yet but I've posted on and read this forum quiet easily whilst at games and out and about on my iPhone for a couple of years.

I wait to be convinced that it's worth paying for. Someone please tell me whats so great about it that makes it much better than simply browsing via Safari

It's quicker, optimised and laid out specifically for phone screens. I too used to simply look via safari but honestly mate, this is far better.

The lite version has limited application. No access to you PMs etc and limited post reply options. It is mainly for viewing.

Maybe I'm just used to it after doing it via Safari so long and I guess for non phpBBtouch enabled forums and websites make it actually more a pain if like me you browse several forums and websites at the same time.

It's quicker than Safari and uses less of your data package. There's a free version which is what I'm using now.

Its so much more user friendly than Safari as it is tailored for a forum. Saves you having to zoom the screen to the correct size and all you have to do scroll down and not to the sides. Once you have used a forum app Safari becomes a pain to view the forum. Worth every penny.

From an admin side of things it really was no problem to install , just one script file dropped into the root directory , no system file mods at all. Took 2 minutes to do.

They've updated the app today and it seems to run a lot better now, especially if you have iOS4

Top right of your screen is an icon that looks like an eye , touch that and you get the options to move through the pages

not having any luck, just the button in the top left to return to forum topics. Which has the create a new message button there, just nothing in a topic.... even deleted and re-added forum couple times to no avail
