It is getting a bit daft now! It's over and done with. Randy can't expect to do what he did ( I wasn't at the game so just going on what I've read) and not get their big guy to come after him. He's a pro hockey player for god sake, he's going to get the odd cheap shot especially from Voth. All this 'Voth should be banned' rubbish is making the club look a sham! Everyone knows Voth can hit, mostly legally but there has been the odd illegal hit - Tait and Sjrogen come to mind. He's the biggest hitter in the league and people are going to get hurt, if they keep there heads down cos thats the kind of player he is!

Finally, some common sense.

It’s all about selling tickets. Sunday’s tape won’t even make the Elite League board and if it does it should only make Sheffield Steelers Ice Hockey Club look even sillier than they already do because the Elite League board will laugh at the waste of time that has been put forward.

No. Jody did take a swing at Voth head with a stick and it connected, but it wasn't very hard and only got 2 minutes.

Finny you raised my hopes then, together with Doom's post. And then I realised the satire in your post.

Voth is Voth, nobody moaned more than me regarding Ash Taits hit last year. But that is the enigma called Brad Voth. The game would be all the poorer if he was not there.

My only concern is his "history of clumsiness". If it ever develops into a career threatening "red mist" moment for an opposing player, there will be no mercy for him due to his past "clumsiness".

But it will put bums on seats and I am really looking forward to the return game. It will be on a par with the return of Tess, Hull's full blooded "goon brigade" and Thommo's "superstars".

The possible Voth ban was even discussed on Talk Sport today. The Steelers 'PR machine' (as everyone now seems to call Dave Simms etc) is obviously working.

Apparantly any ban decisions will be made tomorrow and be known by 5pm.

No it wasn't good publicity really. The guy they interviewed hadn't even seen the incident. Plus it was described as a fight that got out of hand. Sounded more like all they had mixed all the weekends incidents into one! (Voth, Degenais, Kozak etc)
