But yet again, to take fighting to the so called next level really shows him for a fool. Perhaps we should change the colour of our strip - perhaps he has an aversion to green?!! Maybe pink - he may just like that  !!

I do love a good Voth bashing. He really is a prize wolly and I do hope he leaves British Ice hockey at the earliest opportunity. Perhaps hairdressing Mr Voth?

Didnt the Steelers try and sign him this season ?....what do you mean by ''the next level''/ (Genuine question)

Probably to prevent any of our players getting injured by him.

Seriously though, I'd be saddened if Voth left our league because he's an entertainer, but from time to time the red mist does seem to descend on him and with a guy of his size that can be quite dangerous.

This certainly sets up the next Steelers v Devils game very nicely....I wonder what the odds are that this little incident will resurface in the press just before the game.....Are you with Andrew Sharp and the Sheffield Steelers or are you with Brad Voth and the Cardiff Devils....I can hear Simmsey now.

The bandwagon rolls along nicely in Sheffield doesnt it.

He has actually injured 3 Steelers players (maybe even 4, not sure if it was Voth who injured Sutter). We have Sjogren (sp), Ash Tait and Legue. 1, 2 and 3. :-P

Haha, did Sharp lick the blood of an opponent, or are you just being silly now?

Did Sharp even lick his own blood, or are you still being silly?

Or did Sharp pretend to lick his own blood from his hands to wind up the opposition fans (which for some reason has angered the Cardiff fans, and not the Hull fans, strange that. )?

You decide. 8)

Looking from the outside, the constant whinging every time someone gets near to a Sheffield player really is funny, Simms / Matsos etc really don't do the Steelers 'squeeler' image any good at all.

Just remind everyone what was done about the Sharp 'kneeing incident' by Simms / Matsos?

What's it going to be like after you've played Vipers or a full 'goon mode' Stingrays?
Rampaged with the Southampton Vikings.
Stampeding with the Basingstoke Bison.

I cannot stand the way Brad Voth thinks he can just go around hurting and injurying people the way he does, i have seen him injure a few players now and he needs to be stopped. I know it's a tough game etc but he takes it to a whole new meaning, i wouldn't won't want him in the Steelers line up if he was offered free to us.
Just seen the piece on the main page of the website and i think Gerard Adams needs to take him rose tinted glasses off, like he wouldn't complain if one of our players where doing the same to his players.
The bloke is a liability!!!

Rant over

But as we've already pointed out, Dagenais DID go up to a Devils player and Slash him, Crosscheck him and then try to fight him. And in retaliation Voth did exactly the same. He just did a better job of it.

All this whining from the Steelers amazes me, it's almost as if you lost the game. Perhaps it's a case of the Steelers winning the battle, but the Devils are winning the war. Instead of lots of PR's praising the Steelers team for turning around their fortune in 24 hours, most of the articles have been aimed at the Devils. Moaning, Whining. Someone tried to check one of our players blah blah blah.

Clearly some people are stuck in the past and finding it hard to move on.

Having now read the response from Adams, I'm starting to think that this is a set-up by our two clubs to build a manufactured rivalry.

Errrm, actually we've played them twice already (and dealt with them on all levels as well)

If you think that was the 'real' Hull team that we played then your very much mistaken. They were simply games for the Hull players to get the cobwebs out, just wait until the first proper game and then we'll all see the real Hull Stingrays.
Why so serious?

I wasn't at the game, but...

...was what Dagenais did calculated or likely to cause serious injury? That was Dave Matsos' claim about what Voth did. If the league don't think so when they view the tape, fair enough - all part of the game. But if they decide it was calculated/reckless then none of your 'he started it mister' bleating can possibly justify it.

Of course I am making an assumption here, that the league are intelligent, objective, and responsible

You cant possibly prove intent though, if you convict someone on something that you think they pre intended then every time jody has a penalty against him due to something he has done to Voth then maybe we can roll out his paper article from last season saying how he was going to 'get him' for the hit on tait.

At the end of the day to convict someone on something you Think they have intended opens a whole can of worms and people could be appealing for bans right left and centre.

I believe this too. iirc Matsos and Adams are/were mates.

Loving every second of the whole thing. It all kicked off with Cardiff last season, and now it's just escalating. I think I'm looking forward to the Devils games more than I am the Panthers.
