the plot thickens.

Just want to highlight Voth's penalties again right at the end of the match:

2 Charging
5 Fighting
2 Instigator
5 + Game (20) slashing.

34 pims all timed at the same time.

Aye, some decent footage, but don't think a clean punch was landed in all 3 fights!

Kudo's must go to Danger and Sarich for not backing down though.

Yet nother game where we were bullied off the ice! ;)

How embarassing....by the Steelers.

Looks like Bob is up to his old tricks again. edlited by forum admin - Finny behave yourself

I've never heard of clubs having to provide a DVD immediately after the game. Especially as the games aren't recorded direct onto DVD
Its a league requirement
- they would have to be copied across first.

I remember when we were back in the WNIR, and it was the monday morning after a high-incident game (London maybe?). I popped into Bobs office and the subject of the match video came up - and he said they were in the process of copying it then before the could send it off the league. Even showed me the machine as it was suprisingly large.

To be fair Finny technology has moved on a lot since then.

These days I would have thought it was fairly quick and easy to transfer copies of a game onto DVD.

Finny wrote:Steelers look solid if not spectacular. They are very good defensively as I expected and Jody didn't really have much to do after the first 30 mins. Devils were tired after a minimal pre-season and players only flying in towards the end of the week.

Steelers won't be as exciting to watch as Belfast but they will be very hard to beat most of the time, and they will be there or there abouts come end of season.

That's how I see the season going.

The likes of Belfast and Nottingham have been built mainly around fast skilled forwards, whereas the Steelers appear to have put a larger portion of their budget into the defence.

I can see Belfast and Nottingham being involved in some very high scoring exciting games, whereas I think we will tend to grind out results.

Coventry will probably be somewhere in between.

From the Steelers point of view if we are going to challenge the other three, Jody will have to provide some consistency and the forwards will have to start playing with a little more fluency than we witnessed on Saturday (and Sunday by all accounts).

Nice to see Lehman joining in again and helping blow an incident totally out of proportion.

The Steelers management sure love to overreact. Are they going to moan all season if anyone confronts any of their squad? You guys are not helping your labelled name -the S q u e e l e r s.

Sorry finny your wrong!

The game footage has to be avialable at the end of the night..

For instance in Sheffield, They record direct from the video feed on to 3 DVD recorders 1 being a hard drive and 2 being Dvd disc, this season it is all done direct at source as well.. This enables the video of the game to be reviewed as soon as the game as finished.. It has been a requiment of the EIH clubs for at least a year!! from what i saw last season! 8)

As you say, it is now different. I must be getting old as I now realise that was about 5 years go....oh how time flies.

Anyway, from what I hear it was simply a fault with the machine doing the copying and as soon as the Devils office heard about the problem they sent off new copies.

Quite why the Sheffield managment feel the need to then post that article is beyond me. So childish and immature. But then we should come to expect it now. The words "1 trick pony" comes to mind.

Shall we start placing bets now on whether a week before the Steelers v Devils rematch we get an article on how Sharp is looking to get revenge on behalf of all his teammates who were nearly killed by Voth and his evil teammates?

yeah, it's stirring the pot a bit isn't it. Are you telling me Cardiff doesn't do it? What about Adams' comments about Sharp? And the fact that he was talking up how big his team was compared to ours?

So what are the Steers actually trying to get voth banned for?

The charging didnt cause an injury, the slashing didnt cause an injury and he didnt get a match penalty.

You cant do him for intent as its impossible to prove that someone went out there to injure someone. So wheres the case? If they do him for the slashing (which again didnt cause injury) theres going to be a hell of a lot of bans dished out. Didnt David Clarke yesterday throw a high hit that kicked hull off? hows about we throw the book at him as well?

End of the day the steelers took two points, a couple of hockey players got mardy (that ones for you yorkshire lot  ) had a tussle, you werent happy and sent your nutter out he had a brawl everyone got home safe.

Sounds like a hockey game to me folks.
