Who else got there Season ticket......

As hitch himself will tell you mate, from his own experience of running as succesful a forum as this one, that when yer face dont fit then its bye bye...He does not present the 'smiley-happy-clappy-happy go lucky-nowt wrong here-look at meeeeee' view in his posts. He speaks with years of experience watching, travelling etc in hockey...he's seen as much as many on here have...he's seen more than MANY on here have...and using that experience gained by what he's seen, read, written and heard both as spectator and an accredited member of the hockey press he's not displaying the above seemingly important qualities that are held in wide esteem here...

Just an opinion...and by posting it I'm reciprocating an action performed earlier in the thread by Bob M and his son Borussia...

That's total rubbish. If that were true, Stewart would have been banned yonks ago. Imo the supposed groupings of 'smiley-happy-clappy-happy go lucky-nowt wrong here-look at meeeeee' people and people that speak ' with years of experience watching, travelling etc in hockey' is a simplistic and wholly inadequate characterisation of what actually happens on the forum.

My oldman (Bob M) got a call from Dave Simms a few weeks back asking why he hadn't renewed his season ticket. It was thesame situation, just asking for any feedback and to see if their was anything he could do for him. I personally thought it was a nice touch and my oldman is more than likely renewing his season ticket.

That's good customer relations in my book.

If Bob M does end up renewing, let's just hope at the end of the season he's thanking the Steelers management for convincing him it was the correct thing to do.

Mike O rang me at the end of season 06/07 to ask why I wasn't renewing my ST so it hasn't only just started. He wasn't able to change my mind though and looking at last season thank God I did cancel!

I accept what you say about me but I still wonder why Hitchy was banned. I've seen a lot worse from many other people. OK it was off topic, but if everyone who posted off topic was banned then it would be quiet on here. At least it wasn't a personal attack like some get away with!

I don't doubt you, but personally I'd rather have (occassionally amusing) off topic posts than some of the more abusive/personal but on topic ones!

And yet a couple of the people you go with had the opposite opinion, if I recall correctly. Also up until Christmas I seem to remember you being in the unhappy camp. No entertaining play, no hits, no Plan B, etc. What happened (apart from winning the Play Offs) that changed your mind?

Only two of us get season tickets and both of us overall enjoyed it.

There were a couple of periods last season when I was very disappointed with our performances, but I enjoyed most of the early part, some of the middle and most of the end. I would think there are very few supporters of any club who enjoy every single part of a season, that's the nature of sport.

The lack of hits is something I've accepted, I've said before that I believe the game over here has changed due to zero tolerance and the wage-cap, I much prefer the physical stuff but accept it's no longer a major part of our game.

As for no plan B, my opinion on that remains the same, we don't have one, but despite that I still enjoyed the majority of the season.

I think at various points during the season I gave them a B-, I think the final few weeks pushed that up to a B
