Two different questions - music to cheer you up or music to suit the events?

To suit recent history:
The Odd Couple (Henry Mancini ???);
Laurel and Hardy;
Shaddup you face (Joe Dolce);
Magic Roundabout;
Jackanory;
My Ding-a-ling (Chuck Berry);

To cheer you up:
anything by Juluka or Savuka;
the jangly The Bhundu Boys also works;
the "lyrics from another planet" Robyn Hitchcock (with or without The Egyptians) - I do recommend his work with The Venus 3 though;
Delays (very "up")

- will that do for the time being? :lol:
"Yip, yip, yip, yip, yip
Yip, yip, yip, yip, yip
Yip, yip, yip, yip, yip
Yip, yip, yip, yip"

Actually I don't think this is a bad playlist, hahaha

Livin' On A Prayer - Bon Jovi
No Matter What - Boyzone
Road To Hell - Chris Rea
Bad Love - Eric Clapton
Two Sides To Every Story - Five
Drop The Bomb - Sheffield Steelers
Stuck In The Middle With You - Steelers Wheel - I have spelt this right, but the filter is "correcting" it
Hanging On The Telephone - Blondie (for all those who can't get through to anyone)
I Will Survive - Gloria Gaynor (specially for Bob)
Under Pressure - Queen (a favourite of Bob Westerdale, I'm sure)
Should I Stay Or Should I Go - The Clash
Wild Horses - Rolling Stones (couldn't drag him away)
If I Could Turn Back Time - Cher (the revelation that he would have made us pay twice for our season tickets 5 years ago)
The Show Must Go On - Queen
Everything Changes - Take That
Stayin Alive - Bee Gees
Guilty Conscience - Eminem
If It's Hurting You - Robbie WIlliams
Life Is A Rollercoaster - Ronan Keating
Losing Grip - Avril Lavigne
Cleanin' Out My Closet - Eminem
Blurry - Puddle of Mudd
Come Undone - Robbie Williams
In Too Deep - Sum 41
Breaking The Habit - Linkin Park
What You Believe In - Take That
How Did It Come To This - Take That
If I Knew Then - Backstreet Boys

The whole of Theory of a Deadman album, by Theory of a Deadman, track listing:
Invisible Man
Nothing Could Come Between Us
Make Up Your Mind
Point To Prove
Leg To Stand On
What You Deserve
The Last Song
Say I'm Sorry
Any Other Way
Confession
DENIAL IS A RIVER IN EGYPT
FAILURE IS NOT AN OPTION
WINNING ISN'T EVERYTHING, IT'S THE ONLY THING

Sergei Prokofiev 'Montagues & Capulets'
or
Led Zeppelin 'Communication Breakdown'

If you want cheering up, go see 'Spamalot' Sheffield Lyric Theatre 6th-11th Sept.

Don't it always seem to go
That you don't know what you've got
Till it's gone
They closed 213
So now I sit in a poorer spot

I could nominate a song by Wayne County & the Electric Chairs, but I would be kicked off the forum.

So, I'll go for a couple of no brainers:

Should I stay or Should I Go - The Clash
This Charming Man - The Smiths

Gotta be 'Rock Bottom' by UFO. Summed up perfectly by the line in the song...'Where do we go?...Where do we go?...Where do we go from here?
"That's hockey baby!"
