Owners have to pass a sort of test to show that they are fit to own a club. Surely bob and his wife aren't after all the trouble they have brought to this club.

This is the Elite League were talking about!

Good point. Wishful thinking.

It's all the Star and that nasty Bob W's fault isn't it!

You might be better off not looking for conspiracies where they don't exist.

I'm not saying it's his fault, it just interests me how the wording changes

I thought the Norton Lea thing was over with the payment of £55k and Bob said he was suing Lea. He isn't mentioned at all in the article so are we certain this new thing is him? It's confusing to say the least because if the debts are the Sheffield Steelers, then does it matter who the owner is? It didn't stop the 2005 liquidator coming for a new owner, I would have thought that if 2005 debts were caused by a previous owner would mean that they would persue Lea for it. I do hope that Maraini will be able to continue, but is does seem to be like Cardiff all over again.

It was delayed with the 55k, I don't know what the agreement was with the liquidator about the outstanding amount.

The liquidator came for BP because he moved season ticket money out of SYIHC to fund the new season. According to BP he was advised by both his lawyers and the liquidator that this would be legal because season ticket funds were held in trust for the club. In end the liquidator decided it wasn't legal and BP was taken to the County Court, where he was ordered to repay the money.

BP has talked about suing Norton Lea for failing to disclose the full extent of SYIHC's credit liabilities prior to it's purchase.

BP has taken on a lot of financial risk in trying to rescue the Steelers from Norton Lea - that should be recognised and weighed against the mistakes/deals he is alleged to have made since.

Thanks for explaining Doom, no wonder Bob has stepped down, the mental stress alone must be incredible.

Are the chickens coming home to roost???????

Don't you just love the embarrassment of being a Steeler.

The truth will out, believe me.

I'm not embarrassed! It has nothing to do me!
There's not a fan of any team in the league that could blame the supporters for this mess.

It's falls squarely on the laps of those trusted to run the club! Certainly not us!

If you've got the truth why don't you out it now? Surely if it's the truth you've got enough evidence to protect you from any claims of libel?

But I have to say, is Bob's wife GM and owner?

Last week, according to the definitive info registered with Companies House, Bob's wife was SOLE shareholder in Sheffield Steelers Ltd. and also Company Secretary. Does this make her "the owner"?

Start your own company up Joe. You would be Chairman, Secretary, Salesman, Accountant, Driver, Clerk, Receptionist and possibly quite a few other jobs.
