Excuse me it's about supporting the club. Not who owns it or at least that's what Jay and others on here are supporting. Stay with it.

My point is we need to keep a focus on attending games and keeping the money flowing into the club! Not any one person ,the club. Keeping it viable to sell! To the right buyer!

Exactly! And provided the standard of hockey is to my liking then I will be there, regardless of who the owner is!

Does it really matter? And there's a thread about this

Err... Yes. Don't know about you. But it certainly matters to me.

It matters to a lot of people, just use the other thread to discuss it.

I just want fans to be attending games while all this plays out! The club has to survive all this for any potential buyers to see it has worth buying!

the reality is Jay the club is worth nothing under this ownership. Apparently NO season ticket money left so all you will be buying really is the I.P rights which is worth roughly around £20k not £200k. Things were looking up 24 hours ago when bob did his little interview but today things look like they are back up in the air!

Surely IP rights have a value commensurate with what any individual values them at? They may be worth £20k to you but others will have other values.

And it's all worth absolutely nothing if the fans don't bother attending games and Bob is forced to throw in the towel! Due to lack of match night income!
A catch 22 situation I agree, therefore I will continue to support my club the only way I know how. By putting bums on seats and that's the only thing I want this particular thread to achieve.

Ask David Simms what he wants to see come 4th of September? I bet he would say all the old faces plus a couple thousand more...

Any fan boycott because of who the owner is or is not, is basically cutting off you nose to spite your face. Empty seats = end of club, (as the meercat says) Simple!. Like it or not we've got a new management team and a new coach, how many people have complained over the past few seasons about performances, match night presentation, music etc? Well everything's changed folks it's going to be different and it's going to take some getting use to. But, what if at the end of the day, the Steelers play a more exciting brand of hockey, matchnight presentation improves and crowds increase, where does that leave us? If all those things happen then I don't mind who the owner is.

Absolutely!!!!

From your user name I'm guessing that you are a fellow Rotherham Utd supporter, so you like me will know all about supporting your team through the thin times!

In addition I understand that one of the parties interested in buying the club was a consortium headed by none other than Norton Lea, bearing in mind the stuff that has come out about his time at the helm, I would guess that having him back might not be a good thing for any of us. My worry is that if fans stay away and the Phillips' are forced out, Norton could have a way back in and for one I find that too scary to contemplate.

I will attend games who ever is the owner, as I go to support my team. people who say they won't attend under the current owners could finish the club off .

While I respect their right not to attend! That is what I fear the most in all this... Not attending games as a sort of boycott may well be the final nail in the Steelers coffin

After Norton Les took over crowds dropped by over 1000, in part due to some people not having the owner of their choice. If that happens this season I fear it will be the end of this club. Some hockey is better than none. I'll be following David Simms lead, and paying my £16. I support the Sheffield Steelers, regardless of who wears the shirt or owns the club, that's the way it will stay.
