Those are my thoughts Jay.
At the end of the day it's a numbers game.
If enough fans and sponsors support the club, we'll continue to have top level ice hockey in this region.
If fans and sponsors don't turn up, then will the last person out of the Arena please turn off the lights, because the Sheffield Steelers will become just a memory.
This is why I'm finding the reporting in The Star so frustrating, for the last month it has deliberately concentrated on the negative and that will put off both supporters and sponsors. Maybe Bob W wanted to push Bob P so far into a corner that he had to sell, but that hasn't happened and to some extent now we're left with a wounded animal in charge.
What's done is done, but maybe now we need to start focusing on the positives to give Ben a chance in his new role.
Dave Simms probably has more reason than most to not attend games and fund the new owner, but he's willing to put his hand in his pocket to support
his ice hockey team, I suggest others do the same.
United we stand, divided we fall.
