at the fans forum i was asking bob w about some of the articles he had writen bob w replie to me was
YOU NEED TO ASK YOURSELF WERE I AM GETTING THIS IMFORMATION FROM
take from that what you will but i think that someone was and still is providing imformation to bob w
i think the person or persons that is doing this need to GROW UP AND SHUT UP as you are going to finish the steelers if you carry on like this
we need to all be pulling together to make sure this hockey club is still here for years to come

Whoever is supplying westerdale with this information, needs to give it a rest.

To me such information must be coming from within the financial / legal sector...If I'm right its not really ethically correct to be the one disclosing this information to the press! I'm sure the persons employers or even their clients would appreciate a lack of confidentiallity being used by whomever this info is coming from!

If I was a Steelers fan I would feel the same... Total one sided stories being put out from the same guy time after time...

Time for the Phillips hammering to stop.
If you don't want or like him and his family running the club, stay at home next year and watch the antiques roadshow at the weekend.
If you love the sport of ice hockey, and the steelers, get behind the players, club and show your support.
All I want to see is balanced reporting from the star.
We know it's been he'll, but daily headlines of doom are just killing any chance, that maybe this season might be salvagable, with the turmoil.

Phillips hammering?

Seems that some (most) supporters on here need to open their eyes / cast their minds back to what happened in Cardiff.

But I suppose that was nothing to do with BP / MP either.
Rampaged with the Southampton Vikings.
Stampeding with the Basingstoke Bison.

We are the Bison.

We definitely need to listen to the message instead of shooting the messenger.

Balanced reporting? That's a bit like asking for balanced tretament of the mp's during the time we learned more of their fraudulent behaviour.

The "fourth estate" does not exist to give balanced reporting; go down that route for skateboarding cats and a dog that doesn't say "sausages".

There isn't a tradeoff that says we can only have 1 bad story today.

As for the more relevant stuff of what's happening here - I might be Welsh but I'd really rather not have Cardiff history repeated here and if it wasn't for "unbalanced" reporting we wouldn't be able to understand because it wouldn't have been reported at all.

I think BW is doing a fine job of reporting. Whatever sells news journalists will write, after all sales often omit the truthhen trying to sell their goods. There is only one person responsible for the club being in such a state and that is the owner.....not BW for reporting news whether it is bad or good.

At a guess I'd say this:

Bob Westerdale is good friends with Dave Simms and probably Mike O'Connor, I suspect he's not happy with the way they've been treated by the owner.

He's also well aware of the financial issues......You don't need to get inside information to find out about the liquidation.

He probably does have genuine concerns about certain financial issues relating to the club, as we all do.

I would think he has received some inside information from the likes of Simms and O'Connor, but what particular information I don't know.

One thing is for certain, he wants to get Bob Phillips out of the club.

Would you consider the Steelers signing a new player coach who has played over 80 games in the NHL to be worthy headline news that would sell papers to hockey supporters?

Absolutely Doom, Ben Simon is amongst the highest profile signings for any club since the demise of the Super League, on any other year of for any other team in the league this would be the major headline of the off season!
