You know the point.......At least that's another £0.45 saved for me......A year without Stars and I'll be halfway towards covering the cost of my season ticket.

Don't tell our new sponsor about the stuff that they try to pass off as beer at the Sheffield Arena.....He might withdraw his sponsorship.

Bob is an employee of which ever company owns The Star. He is there to make them money. He is not there to be the Steelers (or any other of our local sports teams) cheerleader or to shower them in positive PR and quietly sweep anything negative into two inches hidden on halfway through the classifieds.
What Bob reports is still news - regardless of whether you heard it first the night before in a Radio Sheffield interview, read it in an interview with the club owner posted on a fans forum the day before or have read the numerous rumours and counter rumours that seem to fill pages like this and others like it.
During the season we get considerable coverage (that many teams in this sport would kill for), when we win (and sometimes when we don't) we get additional supplements and full page colour spreads (indeed I remember a time when the entire backpage of the Monday Night sport section was devoted to nothing but Sheffield Ice Hockey every week during the season). If you want to enjoy that level of coverage in the good times, you have to be prepared to put up with the opposite during the bad times.
