Can't be the according to the PDF the dimensions are too small.

The ice pad is 60mx30m, according to that it's only 22m wide. I wonder if they have space to put up another building. I can see it being a London Arena type place... I can picture it in my mind already.

Some bits I can believe, some I can't, but overall very good interview.

Not sure it's going to get sponsors onside either, seems to suggest they got far too good a deal but surely we need sponsors as well as fans?

The "investor(s)" looking to put money in sounds interesting, although if I read it right it said it was a "four figure sum" (e.g 1000 to 9999), surely it would be at least a five figure sum to be classed as an true investment? If it's only a small amount then will that really do anything more than help bring a small amount in to keep things going for a short period of time?

Only if they pay Glynn! What about the comment that the number of sponsors went up (meaning more time and effort (therefore cost) looking after them) whilst the income from those sponsors went down?

Sorry to be slightly less positive, but I read the question about season ticket money, and the bit of that which concerned me was this -

We created an overdraft facility in Sheffield Steelers of £60,000 which is personally guaranteed by my wife and I and we have used that facility for our own means.

I have no problem with creating an overdraft, and Bob is explaining that he used that money for the recent court demand.
But what is niggling away is - you only go into the overdraft when the account is empty.

All the season ticket money gone, so that cannot be used as the monthly drip feed into the operating account. There has to be a lot of walk up sales, sponsorship and ancilliary sales to make up the monthly outgoings. I hope the club can survive it.

This sounds promising, but I worry about the transport links - especially during the winter

I think one thing to consider is the state of Sheffield football at the moment.

If the Steelers could put a good product on the ice and market it properly we may well be able to attract some of the disillusioned footie fans.

If the Steelers do not resign with the Arena, I guess anywhere

I rely on public transport, and while nowhere is difficult it would potentially be a consideration.

Also, I wonder whether it might put off some of the people that the Steelers are trying to re-connect with. I agree its not a major thing at this point, it was just something I wondered about

'Resign' / 're-sign', again.

Almost opposite meanings.

Moving to Magna - I actually posted about this a month or so back... but was vague about the location as I wasn't sure IF I was allowed to speak or not (I wasn't and received a telling off from my MD)...funily enough as with most of my posts they get ignored (on purpose or over read as nothing because I don't follow the rules of English 101 or whatever)

I currently work at Magna in the marketing department and have (allthough briefly) met Mike O regarding the team moving into Magna... so as long as my MD allows me to (I will ask tomorrow) I will be happy to answer any questions you have, to the best of my ability.

Doom - the corporate area you have brought up is "the big hall" or better known by the office as "Magna Arena"... and to answer your question the rink will not be placed in there.

Nem - The dodgems are part of Magna's Christmas Party events called Eat Bump Groove... they are not in place all year round, as for rides being at Magna previously... I do not know (as I only started in April... and before that I have only Visited the once the year it opened in 01)

Helen - Magna is situated just off the Tinsley Viaduct and is less than 5mins drive from our current home at the Arena.

Like I have stated... IF I find out tomorrow that I am not allowed to divulge any more information I will have to keep schtum.
the worst is yet to come, days are getting shorter..SHOOORRRTTTTEEERRR!

????

What else would you call a situation where a person asks another some questions and that other then answers?

Feel free to drop me a line if you feel you can do better, I am currently recruiting staff for the website...
