He has signed.
When are the Bob Phillips and simmsy interviews going up on PHN Nem?

Haven't had time to reds peoples thoughts. Will do after work tonight but Im happy with the news about the coach. I think it could work and that he has experience of being coached at the highest level which will helpnhim greatly.
As much as I'm not happy about what has gone on this summer I'm glad the club Is now not for sale and that simmsey has been offered a job. Let's hope he takes it. For me the most important thing is that we get through the season and if we improve on last season with everything that has gone on over the summer then the season will be a success.
Now people have a whole season to formulate an offer to present to bob for the club. I can't see an offer in the middle of the season helping anything.
At the end of the day I just want a team to watch. If the club is moving forward then that is good. From Now until the end of the season the only focus should be in the season ahead.
So good luck Ben and well done Bob for doing your best to get us back on track. This doesn't mean i ld like you to stay. But I would rather you stay and concentrate on the season ahead rather than have everyone unsure of their future etc. I hope Ben can get the players to stay aswel.

It is thought Steve Munn may consider using a two-week get-out clause in his contract and new boy Jerramie Domish is seeking possible employment elsewhere.
It is also thought that having bought two tickets for this Fridays Euromillions I may well retire next Monday!

That's not journalism that's just fanning the flames!
Very true but hes just doing his job as a journalist...his he wrong for doing it? Maybe so but scandal seems to sell newspapers!

I don't have a problem with him doing his job as a journo but "revelations" that Steve Munn "MAY" be looking elsewhere is as relevant as my claim that I MAY win the Lottery. Sports people and indeed anyone with a short career span are always keeping their options open, otherwise Munn would have taken up his second year option in Japan!

So, speculative journalism as opposed to factual journalism.
Suppose it gives him something to write about while we seem to be in a lull for a couple of days.

Stewart....I agree with what your saying, I just think thats the nature of the beast when it comes to journalism.
Maybe it might make people realise that some people have had hidden agendas regarding this all along.

Welcome Ben!!!!
It would be such a shame if the current signings were to depart IMO.
There must have been a good reason he played 81 games!! Give the new guy a chance..... you never know where he and you might take us this season

Firstly i'd like to offer Ben Simon a massive hello and welcome to the Steelers, I think it's a really good signing and all the very best of luck, secondly I hope that Simmsey comes back as it won't be the same without him.
Lastly if the certain players mentioned want out of the club then I say let them go, yes it would be bad if they did go, but personally I would rather have players who wanted to play for the club rather than them that don't or them that have certain clauses in there contracts which means they can go, surely now with everything sorted and finances are safe and the stability is back then they can now concentrate on next season and give the new coach all the help he needs
COME ON STEELERS!!

At last, some good news! Seems like a great acquisition providing he can work well with Neil Abel. It's certainly made me feel a little more positive about this season and that we might actually have a team on the ice, welcome to Sheffield Ben!
In other good news, i've signed up to the forum after a long period with no success :)

Welcome to Sheffield Ben, it's going to be interesting times ahead for you!
PS. I'm not sure if he'll use it in training but has anyone realised what this means in terms of Ben's programme notes?? That's right it's bound to be called something such as "Simon Says...."

British ice hockeys Twitter states that Steve munn is almost certain to ask to be released from his steelers contract. Big shoes to fill. Hope he stays. Let's see what contacts Ben has in replacing Steve. Big job already.
