Dronfield Social Calendar - Simmsy and Thommo and more

Postby dronfieldsssc » Tue Jun 15, 2010 3:21 pm

(dogs - I know this is well ahead of the 2 weeks for the sticky request, but it's a rolling event so if you can make it sticky, that would be great.
If sticky is not yet appropriate, somebody will keep "bumping" it.)

Simmsy and Thommo night
Dave SImms and Paul Thompson have agreed to another of their open forum nights. Simmsy on his own is entertaining, but when he's with Thommo it's even more so. They finish each others sentences, they (try to) stop each other telling stories that might get them into trouble; they have a wealth of hockey stories - you need to be there.

It is on 18th August 7:3- for 8pm at Dronfield Pioneer Club, Stonelow Road.
It's also a pie and peas night and Derri needs to know in advance how many to order. Tickets are £5.

So, how to get tickets? See the rest of the social calendar below.

Wednesday 16th June - Race Night; you can see Derri to buy a ticket.

Thursday 24 June - Abbeydale Forum; Derri will be there; you can see him to buy a ticket.

Wednesday 21 July - Quiz Night; you can see Derri to buy a ticket.

Do please make sure that you buy a pie and peas ticket in advance of the Simmsy/Thommo night, because Derri needs to know numbers so that he can book the pies and because the caterers have to be paid in advance.

Please note: if you want a vegetarian pie, please make sure that you let Derri know.

How do we get a ticket if we can't make any of the other nights?

We'll sort something out. Derri and I will talk and we'll put an answer on here - that alright?

I went to this at the start of the 08/09 season and I would recommend it to anyone. Some great stories and like the poster has mentioned above Simmsy is great on his own but even better with Thommo by his side IMO. 8)

Bumpety

(This bumping business is far more interesting and enjoyable than that tedious tripe served up by overpaid Jessies in England shirts last night - they ought to be ashamed  )

I agree. I'm just glad that I'm neither English nor a football fan.
